He told my builder fieroking that he had our stuff on pallet which was a lie also he texted me that he was in jail for punching a police officer in the face however the week before that he was in the hospital for breaking his back. Just excuse after excuse. THIS GUY IS A SCAMMER AND I KNOW PERSONALLY!

Wow - this is a scary list . No one has heard from cliff in ages , jayso is selling a kit he doesn't even have the molds to and may never have them , and not one single person has ever bought a full kit from Ikr!!

It seems at one time, this industry was booming but for one reason or another it has deteriorated to it's current state. I am undeterred nevertheless. I hope by the time I am ready to buy a kit (which will be a while) a good LP640 kit will still be available.

It is sad to see all the scamming and bickering but I'd rather know up-front what I am getting into. Three weeks ago, I could picture sending $10K to a company for a body kit assuming they would deliver it. Now, after hearing all these horror stories, I will spend the extra time and money to pick it up in person.

Originally I hadn't wanted to deal with the expense or work of a custom frame but because of the feedback I have received here I am starting to look into it more seriously. Maybe I should start a new thread for this but what is the best frame? ChassisWorks? Naerc? Something else?

Naerc is out of business so why are people still selling their plans? Shouldn't these be in the public domain or does someone actually own them still?

Guys. I know it's difficult - but we all know that our strength is in our unity.
As as the topic of this thread suggests 'we can make a good community that is a guide for many more to come and enjoy the wealth of knowledge'. However, while it seems to be factual that not all of us have bee treated fairly, and that we all have our own advice to give on the matter of "Who to trust when paying for something" we should resort to the guidelines put fourth from the beggining: "Do not send money when you believe the risks are high!" You sacrafice your time working and pay your taxes and earn a dollar to buy a dream not a headache.  If someone wants your money they need to prove themselves beyond a reasonable doubt. Find ways to minimize the risks, but if you can't find ways and the seller is not welling to show sincerity then IT IS NOT WORTH IT!

Guys - most of us know by now that probably every american who buys an exotic car kit passes by this forum or by madmechanics or kitcentral.  None-the-less we continue to face the same issue of ucertainty.

A whole separate thread is needed for this matter...

such a long way away from me to tell other what i sell or do not sell , i sell a lot of part but have no problem making a whole car ,i think i could pull one from my molds ....most of the people here run their head and have no clue ,what they telling people ...as if they are experts !! It seems rob will scam people who just send him money and expect him to deliver like a honest business does.  But it you actually pay at the same time you pick something up in person , then he is ok. You need to proceed with extreme caution with him

Tallon I understand what you are saying but I am just stating my experience - should I lie and say I just bought and picked up a kit from someone else? I am not defending anyone here - How can he deliver nothing if I picked up this kit? It's here at my house!

His door cards, other interior parts are just fine, they are oem. They just won't work with the kit he sells. I'd like to see you make it happen but no one else has been able to.

Who tried to send him 100k for an aventador? Don't think that happened.

I think you are right about the JW kit. We should steer the attention to Jayso - it's clear he will be in charge of that kit.

As for my kit - well Tallon. We all go back to MadMech and see how things went I distinguished between two aspects: one is SuperReplicas who are scammers as in "send them money and recieve nothing" and Rob - who is shunned around here because many people "send him money but don't like what they get in return due to their own lack of knowlege about completing a replica, or due to missing parts, or parts they don't like like door cards, or due to arguments about how much the next item costs, or why is it not shipping on time, or why he stood for IE after several similar issues!"

I am in CA and I am a legitimate person who called him and made a legitimate request (I didn't ask for a turn-key aventador and wired him $100k) I called and asked that he sells me A, B, C, and D which are sitting on a shelf at his garage! I went to LA and picked it all up 10 days ago - I didn't even have to go to AZ. You saw a pic of it, it's beautiful! Should I have passed on the deal?
