Interesting, I did no know that!
If I don't have time to do it right, when will I have time to do it over?

Well an sv isn't a 640 but 670 so probably not but buy parts for an lp640 and it will be correct. Just basically 3 different models of murcielago's, not specifically the 640. Parts will probably be a lot cheaper if you call a dealer. They say lamborghini carolinas is best?

"SV" versions were offered on all models of Lamborghinis, even the LP640.

I updated the wiki link. Not sure what happened there.

You are correct about the LP670. I forgot about that. Interesting about the different LP640's anyway.

I'll check out Lamborghini Carolinas. I've seen them mentioned numerous times.

Versace did not

So were all 2006 - 2010 Murcielagos LP640's? If that is the case, I can see what is going on. Also, the LP640c and LP640r may be the Versace and SuperVeloce versions. Anyone know for sure?

Sorry to ask so many newbie questions. I just want to get this right.

Dimensions changed because the bumpers changed.

Thanks for the confirmation on the side markers. I figured that was the case.

Yes, a lot of the differences between the regular Murcielago and the LP640 are documented in the wiki page I cited above. I was interested in why the overall dimensions seemed to change and any known differences between the three LP640 versions. Maybe nobody knows.

The lights is a Euro/US thing and some of the main differences between the Murcielago and the LP640 are the bumpers, rockers and tail lights. So the grills in the bumpers will be different, when you purchase just make sure they are for the LP640.

Differences Between Murcielago Models LP640, LP640c & LP640r
« Reply #1 on: April 23, 2013, 09:39:08 PM »
While I was looking for parts, I found the website eurospares.co.uk which lists 3 different coupe models for the LP640 (LP640, LP640c Update & LP640r Update). I also noticed on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamborghini_Murci%C3%A9lago the Murcielago is listed as having two different lengths and widths. 2002 - 2006 were one size and 2007 - 2010 were another. Anyone have any insight as to what is different about these models. I would hate to buy OEM parts from eBay from different years of Murcis only to find out they are not interchangeable.

I m interested in the LP640 but now I am wondering how different these updates actually were regarding grills, lights, etc.

Related to this question is some Murcis seem to have triangle shaped side markers and some are long and thin. Is this a difference in years as described above or is it a US / European thing?

Thanks in advance.
