Dang dude! That is gnarly looking!
If I don't have time to do it right, when will I have time to do it over?

Hood gas struts going in  ::wave

The nuts for the ball studs will be glassed in to prevent them from spinning

I believe he is talking about John Watson.
If I don't have time to do it right, when will I have time to do it over?

I checked into the OEM gas struts that hold the hood and engine lid open and was able to find some good alternatives on ebay, here is what I used.

(2) Gas struts for engine lid:  Fully extended 18.5” and fully retracted 11.25” 30 pound force.  OEM are 19 5/8” fully extended and 11 ½” fully compressed with a 26 pound force.

(2) Gas struts for front hood:  Fully extended 19.7” and fully retracted 11.9” 20 pound force.  OEM are 19 5/8” fully extended and 11 ½” fully compressed with a 13 pound force.

(2) 10mm Ball Stud right angle bracket mount.

(4) 10mm Ball Studs

Here is a picture of the ball stud brackets installed, I just had to adjust the holes on it to align them with the mounting holes on my engine lid.

I read most every build on here, and in my opinion,  this is the best one I have seen.  Just my opinion,  or if not the best pretty close.
