That attention to detail makes a great builder!

Some times I wish I could over look things  :-\   the REDO would be further along than it is.  Thank for the comments!

Laid out some string to check the lines from roof over the engine bonnet to the body in the rear.

I was off by a 5/16 of an  inch and finally figured out where.  The two cut grooves in the body on the driver side are just 5/16 wider than the same two grooves on the passenger side.  This made the engine hatch seem to narrow and wasn't lining up on the drivers side.

Have to mull over my options  ::scratch

Had to increase the length of the OEM sized Replica bat wings.

The bat wings that came with the REDO were pretty pitiful

Was up late last night fiber glassing.  Got an early start today

The top of the engine bonnet is 1/2 "  wider at the top than the bottom.  Added CSM to make the distance the same.

Will need to cut the body to make the angle flow from the top of the engine bonnet to the body where the rear trunk is.

The other issue is the angle on the body is some how different from side to side  :LL:

That's what I love about these type of posts. It's fiberglass, it can be fixed. Appreciate you showing us the reality of these builds.

The OEM replica engine bonnet is is about 2 2/16" to short.

Time to cut and then fiberglass!  Multiple times!!  ::toothy

For the engine bonnet hinge, I looked at Autpro and USMC butler build threads for some ideas, as well as some pictures of Murci-Me car.

I cut the old rusted inch tubing out.  I took an Audi A-4 hinge and modified it so it would mount in the holes in the OEM replica engine bonnet.

Not sure if I'm going to try to create a  more OEM look like Auto pros but will wait until the bat wings go in to figure what to do ::study

started on the engine hatch. The REDOs G28 hatch had seen batter dayz, so I went with an OEM replica.

The angles on the body are not right.  The gap from the hatch to the body is 1/2 inch.

Fiberglass, and some sanding and the gap is 3/16 of and inch.  Will use some dyna glass to dial it in later

Got a chart from Ryan at Sinister Performance LLC, a very helpful person.

http://www.gmtuners.com/files/Fiero_L67_PCM_wiring.pdf

With the PIN layout for  for the OBDII port wires.

PIN 59 Purple wire was one of the cut loose wires  :LL:
PIN 15 tan is MIA  :o

With The Fiero Kings shift system in I fired up the engine and it is running rich.  Replaced the MAF, TPS and IAC sensors and adjusted the fuel pressure.

I wanted to run a scan but the Prior Owner removed the ALDL port   :o

does anyone know the what PIN to wire up the ALDL port  :LL:  There are 4 wires unattached by the PCM   :LL:

After finishing the door wiring, I moved on to the engine.

A shift system was purchased from Joe the fiero king and installed so you have to depress the brake pedal to before you can push into PNDR.  It a nice set up and I'm glad I have it for the build! ::thumbup

Window motor wiring - My switch went bad and the connector cracked had a 118 mile round trip drive to a pick n pull.  loaded all the connectors and switches they had .

Side view mirror - had the thing working weeks ago.  spent hours second guessing my catera to feiro to lambo chart.  Long story short the wire on the drivers side had been cut by someone   :LL:  Ran some new wires and got them working

Also added an $8 mirror folding system.  Here is a video.

Need to add my interior actuator switch and to solder it all up ::toothy

Trying to put to bed the wiring on the drivers door

ran about 18 wires into the door via a rubber grommet, then started to wire everything up.
