@ onewickedsvt - the bulbs can be changed fron inside that why you seen the extra wire sticking up  ::wave
The fiberglass wont be sanded as i will be putting a skim of filler over the roof and im getting the roof carbon fibered wrapped in silver

What if a bulb burns out?  ::scratch

How are you going to sand the fiberglass down without damaging the scoop?

Goodluck bud.

@ usmc_butler - Cheers Dustin yip the roof will be more solid as the roof section was very thin so this will put a bit more strength back into it. The carbon fiber dipping is ok on price i get a good deal from the chap thats doing it stay posted as the petrol cap section and passenger side section is going carbon as well  :) You may come to Ireland on a Holiday  ::headbang

Hey I see it coming together now that will make for one solid roof!   ::beers

Everyone has different opinions of how things should be done, I have never seen this approach but it will turn out great! Only thing I would worry about is if a LED went out ::counfused .... I SOOOOOO wish you were in the US so I could send you parts to have the CF coating done, it looks so good! Is it expensive?

Picked the roof scoop up today

The LED's all fiberglassed down

Second layer of fiberglass this layer will pin down the roof scoop

Loads of bumps looks like a gold course :-) these will be sorted

I used filler in the low spots to level the area out then sand this back then re-fiberglass the whole roof

@ No Bull - Cheers Chris yip some people like my build and some don't thats life for ya  :) but i didn't want (and no offence to any other builder out there) the same lambo exact look replica as the market is flood with the same cars and style, thats why i went the race car look theme. And i basically had to re-make the whole kit due the poor quality its taken longer but i have gained alot of knowledge doing my build this way. Cheers for having me here any question fire away i will help anybody that needs help thats what this forum is for

@ onewickedsvt -

Why on earth would you do that?
Cause i can its my car
Why not make a panel and mount it on the inside under the roof?
Cause the inside roof is complete and the out side roof is being raised 15mm so the wires will be hid
Is there a point to it?
Yip i have led's in my roof there is no ther Lambo rep out there that has this

Hope this answers your question  ::thumbup

I think this about say's it all.   ::thumbup

It might look a little different to us now, but I'm sure it will turn out looking awesome when it's done.

It only has to make the builder happy and I appreciate you sharing your pictures and ideas here.

How is the reskin going to look? A bit goofy I think.

Is there a point to it?

Sorry, I give it 4 thumbs down. A+ for effort though.

@ Pedro - Cheers mate its coming along great now as for the summer here we are having the worst summer here it has been raining here for a few months now so may not this summer but a few dry days that might get hopefully fingers crossed.

Had 50 odd led's left over from the rear lights as you could only purchase them in bunches of 50's so i am putting them into the roof

Passenger side being wired up

All three rows working

Interior shot of the led's working

Drivers side wired up and working

Interior shot

Second coat of primer

Third coat or primer

Looks like a bomb on the roof of the car :-) i have to raise the roof up 15mm so all the wires will be hidden

Wicked  ::headbang it's coming right along, you are going to be driving that beast this summer.  Once you get all those lines down it will really take shape and since you won't be painting it it should be done pretty fast.
