I had to heat up the corvette spindles in order to install the S-10 hubs, girlfriend wasn’t too happy about it lol  :P

These are the S-10 hubs ready for installation:

And finished!

Now I have to install the ball joint.

This week I started working on my rear hubs and front spindles.  These will be finished by next week and hopefully along with the rest of the suspension.

very nice work

nice work pedro looks good

Thanks for the kind words guys ::thumbup

Ok time for some progress shots!

I made the rockers straight now as it’s supposed to be on the Murcielago this is one of the changes that need to be made to the original chassis plans.

Here you can see that we started welding all of the seams

Upper rear control arms I used 1-1/4” tubing instead of the 1-1/8” called for in the plans.  It’s very hard to get the 1-1/8” here and it would have been very expensive.

Lower rear control arm

I also had these pieces machined for my front upper control arms.  I still have not made those but they should be ready by next week

Remember though I think those side rails are for diablo when they're bent like that I did the same ones I had to change them for mine, correct if I'm wrong

You are right, I am just going to leave them tack welded right now and will change them later when I fit the body.  I sent John an email because I need some measurements for the rockers.  Thanks for the heads up! ::thumbup

The a8's instrument cluster sorry
maybe passats does too unless you want to replicate the murcie's
john said he's also fitting the audi's full a/c with controller and everything under the murcielago dash

Yea it was a shame to rip mine apart, I couldn't find one little scratch anywhere on the exterior.
So.. I'm very bad at keeping things in good condition when I'm pulling them apart.
Yours is nice too, it probably has a lot less miles, I can't even read mine.

I am just going to try and use as many components as possible, including the a/c and everything that is under the dash and console, switches, wiring etc.  Luckily this car only had 39,000 miles on it and it runs perfect.  I took it to the smog shop yesterday and it passed with no problems

@ usmc_butler – You want to build another one!  Sweet, do it. :P

Here is where I am at with my chassis at the moment.  I’ll take some pictures of the real thing later on today and upload them tomorrow.

Yea I used a terrible band saw that doesn't measure degrees so I didn't care for cutting all the angles in my tubes.

Is the passat similar to the a8 I wonder? for mine I mostly have to transfer everything over, john said the IC will even fit the murcie cover. Need to have a guy program the pcm for me though, haven't heard back about that yet.

Passat and A8 are very simillar they share the same components.  My friend has an A6 and it has the exact same seats as mine.

What is the IC that fits the murci cover?

Here is the little beauty I bought from Copart, it only has 39,000 miles on it. It's allmost a shame to cut it all up :P

Engine is super clean, actually the whole car is clean except for that small hit in the front. ::thumbup
