The A pillar i used thin Masonite board cvoer in laminate to get the shape and curve. 
To get an exact fit on the door opening at the roof I eventually had to add material to the inside and then use  40 grit disk to sand the outside to get a flush fit with no gaps.

Back to the good times on the REDO

cut, adjust, fiberglass, grind, cut and adjust fiberglass, grind, repeat

Cant tell you how many times I did this on the just the passenger side A Piller
The piece finally sits flush with the rubber door gasket with no gaps 

Dialing in the interior pieces made from scratch a PITA

And still there is more to do

Thanks still have ways to go!!   

I tired a few test sprays with the Tri coat balloon white and it looked great, but to do the whole car would be a bridge to fa,r for the skills that I have. Next time  ?!?!

Using the 3m Trizact for wet sanding.

1500 grit
3000 grit
8000  girt  all with the DA, by the time you get to 8000 it is really pretty shiny.

Just a spray bottle and microfiber towel, very clean

then the perfect it 1 step with the purple pad.

I will never use a wool pad again!!

Result are impressive and so effortless, it is actually enjoyable

Cleaned up the crud from blocking on my brakes and suspension.  Pretty dirty

Used a little high heat clear to keep the rust at bay, not sure how long it will last but better than nothing.

Holy hell that was a lot of work!!!

But finally got the car painted.

Came out most excellent!!

First attempt at vinyl wrap for the inner latches will be used for the front trunk release which is not visible.

Next attempt at wrapping should see a lot of improvement

 Definitely a better result than when using the chrome paint.
