Not a lot of progress on the REDO as I was working on my 02 F350 7.3L. Now that that is done the REDO is top priority, until it isn't  ::toothy

Bat Wings installed using replica OE hinges and actuator's for the up/down motion.  Relay wired etc.  The body gaps between the wings and engine bonnet caused me quite a bit of grief and endless adjustment.  Finally did a REDO and added some width to the passenger side and sanded the drivers' batwing.

Set up a mini paint booth in the heated shop to paint.  Too cold in the other building

Got the Taillights and grills fitted

Onward!! :CSS

The REDO received some updated LP670 side view mirrors from a FB pal, located in the UK.  They were 3D printed and OE size

The REDO is a G28 and OE size doesn't work to well.  Molds were made of the base of the sideview mirror shell, for each side of the car.

Once the part was pulled from the molds, the fiberglass part was modified to fit the G28.

To reinforce the 3D printed shell CSM was added.  A lot of body work and then they were painted and cleared.

More cut and buff needs to be done on them, making progress

Sprayed the base and did a blend on the driver door and rear part of the qtr panel.

The clear the whole car.  Was going to be 49 overnight had to hook up some heaters.

Wanted to put additional clear on the REDO. But before I did that

2 body lines that were bugging on me, the top inside straight body line that was out by 1/16" for about 6 inches
And a 1/8" or less indentation on the drivers qtr. lower body line.

There were also 6-7 burn throughs in the clear that needed to be fixed.

Sand the clear.

Using a Iwata Eclipse HP-CS Airbrush, I applied very light base coat as to not cause lift or wrinkling, pulled the masking tape to blend, then used my sun gun to check for coverage, covered with clear. worked great!

Then I attacked the upper qtr to fix the line and did the body work on the lower line.

Primed the area, last night.  Now to sand for base

Even though the paint going on the REDO is from the original batch I will blend the base into the driver's door and down the quarter panel
