Building my own 670 kit

That top piece was the main thing - I moved it up until it turned into 15"
I wonder if the scale model's hatch is longer than the real hatch? 53.49mm difference from what I got :S

I matched them all up to my outlines I had and most of them are dead on or pretty close
two of them are off within an inch or more
The length can easily be obtained from an oem hatch, the top measurement that is off I'm not sure about

Maybe this should be split up into a new thread, I don't mean to hijack just sharing ideas

look at width on long boxes and height on tall boxes.

I re-measured the top piece and it is actually 380mm (picture fixed) which gets a lot closer to your measurement. I also found one of the 160mm was in fact 170mm and changed that. Tough to get these measurements on a 1:10 scale model. I verified the length was in fact correct.

I drew the same to-be intersecting lines on those reference pics as well and it still shows they're different sizes. (won't bother posting those)
They just look the same by eye since they only differ slightly on each side. You can also just put two pieces of straight paper up to your screen and see. Human eyes are not good at seeing these small differences.

I'll just wait to see how this compares to Strings dimensions...

If you look at that photo, it is heavily distorted by the lens used (almost like a fish eye lens). The perspective and the lens distortion give an optical illusion that the windows are the same size when they are not.

Are you able to measure the glass in that cad file? Because that would be a huge  help.

I can tell you from the info that I have ..... that they are all indeed different.

Yes Tallon, you are correct. The windows are larger toward the roof and smaller toward the tail end. I have estimated the measurements in the attached image based on my 1:10 scale model. I don't know how accurate the model is but it looks very accurate and it should at least give you an idea of general proportions.

I was thinking they jump down a size each one just slightly but it's hard to tell. I'm using a sky view pic of the lp670 and cropped the hatch portion. The hatch is on an angle obviously but not sure how much it affects the image.. Doesn't seem like much because if you measure them all length-wise they're basically the same, just different width. Or so I thought :S

Boxes abc are all the same size in the picture and the intersecting lines show the windows as different width

I will post some pics of where I am at tomorrow. I made my hexagon
Windows all the same with 7" equal sides. I kept going
Back and forth looking at pics, wasn't sure if they
Were actually different sizes or it was just an optical
